BF James Pool is a great way to spend time with family and friends. Our pool is temperature controlled and offers a variety of programs and amenities. During Open Swim families or individual participants will have the ability to practice or train swimming skills appropriate for their individual goals. Whether you want to lounge poolside on the deck or enjoy swimming laps, there is something fun for you to do at BF James Pool.

Our professional American Red Cross certified instructors make learning to swim fun! This well-balanced program teaches swimming skills and water safety in a fun, safe environment.

Preschool Swim Lessons are intended for participants of ages 3 through 5 years. This program puts the Fun in Fundamentals. Each class is loaded with enjoyable, engaging, and challenging activities that motivate children to enjoy learning to swim. In the Preschool Swim Lessons, your child is introduced to basic skills that lay the foundation for future skill development of swimming strokes.

Students who are new to the Hallandale Beach Learn to Swim program will be swim tested prior to their first lesson to determine their starting swim level.

Preschool Swim Lesson Levels are currently offered as follows:

Level 1: Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu 4:00-4:30pm
Level 2: Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu 4:30-5:00pm
Level 3: Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu 4:30-5:00pm

The City of Hallandale Beach also accepts Water Smart Broward Vouchers for preschool swim lessons. This program is offered to children ages 4 years and under. To request a voucher, visit www.watersmartbroward.org.

The Water Polo Basics program is designed to bridge the gap between the learn-to-swim program and the introduction to the sport of Water Polo. This program is intended for children the ages of 6-12 who already know how to swim and want to learn the basics of Water Polo.

Participants will improve their swimming and ball-handling skills as well as focus on important life skills like sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. This youth sports program is for designed for participants who have completed the LTS Lv.III and can successfully pass a Swim Test.

Participants are encouraged to bring a Towel, Water Bottle, and wear Sunscreen.

Our Professional Red Cross Certified Instructors make learning to swim fun! This well balanced program teaches swimming skills and water safety in a fun, safe environment. We have swimming and water safety programs for everyone from infants through adults. Our Adult Learn-to-Swim program is designed for children 13 years through adults.

Teens and adults are welcomed into our classes at any swimming ability level. There are three tracks adults and teens can take in our program: Learning the Basics, Improving Skills and Swimming Strokes, and Swimming for Fitness. Each track will impart water safety information as well as work to achieve goals and learning objectives desired by individual participants.

Parent and Child Swim Lessons are designed specifically for young children between the ages of 6 months through 2 years. Participants are accompanied by their parents into the water to assist with instructions. This program helps young children become comfortable in and around the water and provide a foundation for future aquatic skills.

An adult is required to accompany each child in the water. Adults learn how to safely handle their infants or toddlers in and around the water.
